ALA--San Francisco here I come! @Graphix @alaannual

I'm starting to get ready to bring some sun to a whole lot of librarians at the annual conference of the American Librarian Association in San Francisco June 26-30 ...

Sunny Side Up, that is!

Here's where I'll be on floor of the Moscone Convention Center:

FRIDAY, June 26
12:15-1:15 pm His, Hers, and Theirs: Gender and Comics Panel
Moscone Center, Room 3010 (W)

Description: In the past few years, critical and frequently heated discussions about women and comics have highlighted a range of issues around gender for comics creators and readers. Industry folks and fans alike are debating how genders are portrayed, the visibility of different gender identities, and the lack of representation. Join creators Tony Cliff (Delilah Dirk and the Turkish Lieutenant), Jillian Tamaki (This One Summer), Brenden Fletcher (Batgirl, Gotham Academy), Jennifer L. Holm (Sunny Side Up), and Trina Robbins (From Girls to Girlz, Pretty in Ink) to take a look at all of the intersections between gender and comics.
